Inclusion

Whether your are a committed Christian, are just curious or not even sure, we want everyone to feel welcome in our church. Our inclusion statement is below.

You can find out more about the way we came to this statement here.

Inclusivity Statement adopted by the church meeting on 11th February 2024

We seek to be an inclusive church that reflects the love of Jesus Christ, who welcomed and accepted all without discrimination or exclusion.

We recognise that we are on a journey and do not have all the answers, but we want to engage with the question of what Christ’s love looks like in our church and community and the wider world.

We come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. We do not all think the same on matters of faith and the Christian life, but we seek to respect, listen to, and accept one another.

We seek to be a church where all can find a home, be included, serve, take part in activities and the holy things of God, and take on leadership roles.

We seek to include all people and welcome their gifts and contributions, irrespective of their age, physical ability, learning ability, ethnicity, gender identity, marital status, sex, neurodivergence, sexuality, or mental-health status.
